Donau-Zollernalb-Weg - Etappe 7 von Winterlingen nach Albstadt

This stage of the Danube-Zollernalb Trail is up and down. The crisp climbs are rewarded with many great viewpoints, such as the castle rock.

A stage full of ups and downs - it goes up and down several times here. The rewards are magnificent views and Swabian delicacies.The first destination is Straßberg. The Bürgerpark with Kneipp facility makes the village a worthwhile rest stop. The decent climb to the Fohlenweidenstüble is well worth it: Swabian delicacies such as "Herrgottsbscheißerle" (ravioli) or "Geheimratslippen" (ox muzzle salad) await hungry hikers.

The rest of the trail leads beautifully along the Trauf to the Schleicherhütte. The next highlight is the Schlossfelsen, the highest point of the tour, with a fantastic viewing tower almost vertically above Albstadt-Ebingen. The name comes from the former castle that stood here in the 12th/13th century.The tour ends at Kurt-Georg-Kiesinger-Platz in Ebingen, the largest district of Albstadt. Kurt Georg Kiesinger - 1958-1966 Minister President of Baden-Württemberg and 1966-1969 Federal Chancellor - was born in Ebingen on April 6, 1904.
