Orber Genuss-Tour

The tour does not require any special riding skills. It runs largely on asphalt and gravel paths. At the beginning, the tour leads along the tracks of the Orber narrow-gauge railroad in the direction of Kinzigtal. At the Schützenhaus, the route climbs briefly. First with Bad Orb behind you with a view of the Kinzig valley, later with a constant view of Bad Orb, the Münsterhöhe is climbed. The ascent is accompanied by boundary stones symbolizing Bad Orb's affiliation to the Kingdom of Bavaria on the one hand and the Electorate of Mainz on the other. From here, you reach the Haseltal valley via a short trail (mountain bikers who are not technically experienced should dismount here) and paved forest paths. Passing the Haselweiher pond and a Kneipp facility, you reach the end of the valley. The "Haselruh" hunting lodge invites you to take a short break. On the other side of the valley, the tour leads back to Bad Orb without any particular inclines. If you like it a little more sporty, you can briefly ride one or two loops of the Tour Challenge on this section of the route. Shortly before you reach Bad Orb, you can take a look at old sandstone quarries and the remains of a funicular that used to connect Wegscheide with Bad Orb.
