Description

The path gently ascends between vineyards with a view towards Weischütz, the "beautiful" village on the Unstrut. The valley of the Unstrut lies before you in all its splendor. From afar, cheerful voices and ringing bells can be heard.

The path winds around the mountainside, with vineyard cottages and Adonis flowers nestled against the mountain. At the top of the Nüssenberg plateau, you'll feel like an eagle in its aerie. Everything here inevitably brings to mind Goethe's Faust: "To the moment I could say: Stay a while, you are so beautiful!"
In Weischütz, you will be greeted by the Köhler-Wölbling winery with delicious, cool wine. Through an old orchard with numerous Adonis flowers, you descend back to Weischütz. In the eastern direction, at the end of the sightline, you can see Zscheiplitz, Neuenburg Castle, and the Dicker Wilhelm keep.
In Weischütz, it is recommended to visit the village church, as well as to stop by at the Köhler-Wöhlbling winery, where you can enjoy the glowing sunset with a glass of wine.

Directions for arrival

From Laucha, take the L 209 towards Gleina, turn off towards Weischützer Straße; from Freyburg towards Naumburg on the B176, cross the Unstrut and onto Schweigenbergstraße towards Zscheiplitz
