Description

The town church St. Marien and the listed town hall with its striking covered staircase characterize the city center of Laucha - the starting point of the hike.
The hiking trail leads to the Bell Museum Laucha. More than 5,000 bells have been cast there, today you can see historical work techniques of bell casting.
Through fields and a forest path, you will be guided around the Ennsberg. The path offers views towards Laucha, the opposite Nüssenberg, and into the wide valley of the Unstrut river. High above the vineyards of Laucha, gliders soar.
According to legend, a dragon is said to have caused mischief at the Dragon's Corner. It is eerie and beautiful here; in fact, huge skeletal remains were found in the gorge at the end of the 19th century.

Tip: The Ennsberg can be circumnavigated, the hike can be combined with the Borntal circular path to the Orchid Path near Krawinkel. In the south, connecting paths to Hirschroda and Balgstädt are available.
