Description

The hiking trail rightly bears the name "Panoramaweg Mücheln". Through a shady forest path - with a view of Wasserschloss St. Ulrich on one side and a view of St. Jakobi Church and the Baroque Garden on the other side - you hike above the town. Let yourself be enchanted by the Geiselquelle spring.

The hike starts in the old town of Mücheln. The houses and the town hall built in the late Renaissance style testify to prosperity and civic pride.
Along the babbling Geisel stream, you will reach a narrow path that leads you uphill into the semi-shade of the deciduous forest - you will be greeted by tranquility and rewarded with a view of Wasserschloss St. Ulrich.


At the idyllic Geiselquelle spring - shaded by old trees - you can refresh your tired feet. The hike continues to the St. Ulrich Landscape Park. The romantic park with its partly very rare tree and shrub species, its "Ruhenischen" (resting niches), and the view of the Baroque Garden is one of the highlights of the hike.
At the viaduct, you can catch a glimpse of the ultimate recreational paradise - Lake Geiseltal - before heading back to the city center.

Tip: The hike can be complemented in various ways. Combinations with the Mühlenwanderweg and the Rundweg Müchelholz are possible, as well as a circular path around Lake Geiseltal.
