Along the Unstrut between Laucha and Freyburg, the wine-growing area can be explored.

Description

Over 12 km with 26 information boards and views of the vineyards, interesting facts about the Saale-Unstrut wine are conveyed. For the little hikers, there are five child-friendly boards between Weischütz and Zeddenbach. The meadows adjacent to the path invite to play in nature.

Initially, the nature trail leisurely follows the Unstrut, then in Freyburg it turns into a circular route. This includes further attractions such as the Schlifterweinberg, Neuenburg Castle with the Wine Museum, and the Ducal Vineyard.
The impressions gained can then be deepened in one of the numerous wineries, at the Rotkäppchen sparkling wine cellar, the Winzervereinigung Freyburg-Unstrut, in wine taverns, and gastronomic establishments along the route.

Start in Laucha – continue on the Unstrut cycle path to Freyburg (boards 1 to 19) – across the Unstrut bridge towards the city center, along Schützenstraße to the city park (board 20) – continue through the city park towards Edelacker – pass the upper Schlifterweinberg (board 21) – to the parking lot at Berghotel zum Edelacker (board 22) – continue to Neuenburg Castle (board 23) – next stop Hotel Rebschule (board 24) – continue on the Neuenburg circular route through the Ehrauberge to the junction towards Großjena on the Unstrut cycle path (boards 25 and 26) – along the Ehrauberge, past the Ducal Vineyard to the Unstrut bridge
