The "hills" around Bersenbrück - these are lovely geest ridges, partly covered with heath, partly with forests and interspersed with charming waters. Enjoy the view of Lake Ankum, explore the fisheries educational trail at the monastic fish ponds in Bersenbrück, and relax by the shore of one of the numerous streams. And make sure to plan enough time for stops, because along the 44 km long route you will find farm shops and cafes as well as exceptional architecture - such as the mystical megalithic tombs on Giersfeld and medieval stone structures in Ankum.
