This charm was not lost on Wilhelm Busch, who visited Hunteburg several times between 1894 and 1898. He enjoyed it so much that during his first visit, he wrote to a friend: "It was a very pleasant area where I spent the last few days, especially in good weather. Individual farms; whitewashed; fresh green rye fields around them; in the distance a chain of blue hills...". Bohmte in the Osnabrück region offers a quiet and relaxing landscape, ideal for hiking, cycling, unwinding, and enjoying.
