Start your hike by exploring the longbed and the exhibition rooms of Arnkielpark. Follow the green signs "Jens-Thaysen-Weg" and walk between the fields and a small wooded area to the memorials of the great battle of Oeversee. Take a short break and enjoy the view over Lake Sankelmark. Cross the L317, leave the "Kiek in" café on your left and turn right onto the circular hiking trail around Lake Sankelmark. Follow this until you reach a bridge, where you turn right again and walk through a small forest. On the left you have a wonderful view over the Billau-Niderung.
