Hike Danevirke Museum

3.2 km - 0:40 h | Starting point: Danevirke Museum, Ochsenweg 5, 24867 Dannewerk

Start your 5 km walk at the Danevirke Museum. From here you walk along the ramparts in a south-westerly direction. From the gate in the Danewerk, you will reach the reconstructed redoubt 14 via the exposed remains of Waldemar's Wall, from where you have a wide view of the landscape. Now keep to the right and follow the sign "Thorshammerweg" to reach the tarred road via a short dirt track. Turn right here and walk along the road "Am Wall" through a housing estate. Keep right at the next two crossroads, walk towards the Danevirke Museum and cross a larger road. Now continue along the rampart and behind a forest you will reach the remains of Thyraburg Castle.
