Hike through Kropp

13.4 km - 2:30 h | Starting point: Parking lot "Am Markt", 24848 Kropp

The hiking trail is sporadically marked ("Wanderweg Kropp 15 km"). Walk past the town hall on the right along a footpath to Schulstraße. Turn right here, cross Ochsenweg and take a footpath into a residential area, which you walk straight on through. You come to a small wood, where you keep right and reach Schleswiger Straße (K61). Walk a short distance to the right and cross the K61 in front of the cemetery to turn into a forest path. At a fork in the road, take the middle path and continue straight ahead at the next junction. At a T-junction, turn right and come to Gertrud-Koch-Str. (L40). Keep left, you will soon cross the L40 and turn into the road "Am Wald". In the forest, follow the sharp bend to the right, the path turns left before a high fence. After approx. 500 m, turn left onto a concrete slab path, cross the B77 and after approx. 250 m turn right in the forest. Cross the L265 and continue straight ahead, after approx. 250 m turn left and then right again at the next crossroads. Now continue straight ahead south for approx. 1.7 km. Then turn right, pass a mighty beech tree and cross the B77 again. Pass the "Los von Dänemark" memorial stone and continue through Heidbunge. Just after the settlement, turn right onto a footpath. Continue left at the next crossroads. You pass a clearing and then keep right. You will come to a small road, where you turn left and shortly afterwards right. Follow the path until the fence ends on the right. Turn right here. At a larger intersection, you can turn right and visit the bison enclosure, but the circular route turns left. You cross the Tetenhusener Chaussee. Follow the forest path straight ahead and you will come to a road. Turn right here, cross the L40 and continue straight ahead on the Fuhlreiter Weg. After a while, turn right onto Eichenweg and at the end of the latter, turn left onto Theodor-Storm-Allee. This leads you back to the starting point. Worth seeing:Bison enclosureGeestlandbadOx trail
