The Karken & Gegendtörn

The train stations Hittfeld and Maschen are good starting points for the "Hittfelder Bahnhofsrunde" and the "Hallonen-Rundweg", which offer exciting local history and curiosities.
Historical buildings, such as the ensemble of the water mill Karoxbostel and many beautiful churches, provide unique insights into long past times. From here, the Seeveradweg also leads to special features of the region. In Over, you will find the first milk hut of the Winsener Elbmarsch. The milk rest stop offers fresh milk, yogurt & farm ice cream, homemade cakes, tea, and coffee specialties. From here, a detour to the nature reserve "Untere Seeveniederung" is worth it, where many rare animal and plant species are native. In spring, usually at the end of April, you can admire the rare chessboard flowers here.
The nearby outdoor pool in the municipality of Stelle invites you to jump into the cool water in good weather, and the "Buchwedel" invites you to forest bathing or extensive forest walks.
