With the free bike and hiking bus ELB-SHUTTLE, the tour starts into the Winsener Marsch. In the idyllic village of Olderhausen with historic farmhouses, the Oldershausen, Hundener Straße 10 stop can be used for disembarking. From Oldershausen, it continues along the Ilmenau cycle path to the dreamy Fahrenholz. Here, there is the opportunity to rent canoes, stand-up paddle boards, and more to discover the charming landscape from the rivers Ilmenau and Neetze. A stop at the Landkäserei Fehling should not be missed. Delicious cheese is still traditionally handmade there. In the neighboring village of Hunden, the Hofcafé Marschendeel serves freshly brewed coffee and homemade cakes in great creations, which can be enjoyed in the idyllic garden in good weather. Between the villages of Hunden, Fahrenholz, and the Elbe near Drennhausen, there is an old and uniquely created cultural landscape that provides habitat for many rare animal and plant species and serves as a nursery for native waterfowl. Just behind the dike on the Elbe Cycle Path stands the Drennhäuser Radwegekirche St. Marien with its wooden chapel. Cyclists riding along the Elbe Cycle Path are warmly invited to visit the "open church." Across the street, in an ancient Elbmarscher house, the Elbcafé serves homemade cakes. The fantastic outdoor terrace offers a magnificent view over the Elbe. For a relaxing day, the up to 100-meter-wide Stover Strand offers the best conditions. Anglers can make a big catch here.
