From the starting point in Stein, follow the asphalt road towards Irlach. After Plößhöfe, the markings point to the left. You pass forests, meadows and a pond area before reaching Katzelsried. Pass the cattle pasture and continue along the tarred road until the hiking trail turns left into the forest. The village of Stein is then already in sight.
