Description by the author

The Nurtschweg - a blue/white alternative route parallel to the main Goldsteig route. The Nurtschweg is marked yellow/red/yellow throughout. The blue "S" will be added as part of a certification process for the Nurtschweg. The trail opens up the north-eastern border landscape of Bavaria with its cultural, scenic, economic and historical highlights. Along its entire length, it carries a section of the European long-distance hiking trail E6 (Scandinavia - Adriatic). Route: Kappl - Waldsassen - Neualbenreuth - Mähring - Griesbach - Bärnau - OWV Schutzhaus Silberhütte - Waidhaus - Eslarn - Stadlern - Steinlohe - Waldmünchen
