Tanneneckweg

From the Burghotel, we walk along Unterkaltenhofstraße to Unterkaltenhof. We pass a few houses. At a hiking post and the house number Unterkaltenhof 8, we turn right at the beginning of the little wood. We walk to the next edge of the forest and now climb steadily up to the Tanneneck, initially on forest paths. Opposite the Gasthof Tanneneck there is a bus stop for the VLC-RBO bus route 590 Furth im Wald - Großer Arber. Further hiking trails are the La5 to Lam, the Nk25 (5 km) to Rittsteig or crossing the main road to the Nk9 to Kolmstein to the Kolmsteiner Kircherl and from there on the Way of the Cross down to the village of Kolmstein and on the cycle path back to Mais.
