From Weiding town hall, the hiking trail leads along Eichenweg, Postweg and Bahnhofstraße to Neumühlen, crossing the Cham - Furth im Wald railroad line and the Chamb. From Neumühlen, the trail follows the land consolidation road to Walting. It continues in Walting from Hohensteinstraße past the beautiful church via Haidsteiner Straße to Haid. Following the Ru 1 hiking trail, the route now climbs through Haidholz via Nickelhöhe, Kohlstatt and Waltinger Weg on the forest road to Kirchenriegel and Haidstein (743 m).
