Goldsteig N 04 Neuhaus – Letzau

The trail leads through the courtyard of the restored Schafferhof farm to the castle, whose striking butter churn tower offers a magnificent panoramic view. The hiker leaves Neuhaus: the Hutzlmühle mill, the Icelandic horse pass and a railroad bridge are on the way to the Waldnaab, which takes him along natural paths to the Radschinmühle mill below Mühlberg. From the entrance to Neustadt/ WN, the Goldsteig follows the banks of the Waldnaab to the leisure and camping area, from here the avenue leads up to the old town. The Lobkowitz castles on the medieval town square, the parish church of St. Georg, the town/glass museum (use the passage), the old Bavarian Krystall glassworks, the baroque monastery church of St. Felix - all this is on the way, before some very beautiful views over the Waldnaab valley, the town of Weiden and the basalt cone of Parkstein follow. Via Wilchenreuth and Theisseil, long sections of natural paths lead to the Fischerberg with the "Vierlingsturm" lookout tower and the occasionally open Strobelhütte run by the Oberpfälzer Waldverein. Then it's downhill into the Hölltal valley.
