The tour begins in the district town of Cham. The center of the old trading town is the historic market square with its late Gothic town hall, St. Jakob parish church (14th century) and artistic market fountain with water-spouting figures by Joseph Michael Neustifter. Every day at 12.05 pm, the Marseillaise can be heard from the carillon at the town hall. Also worth seeing: Cordonhaus with changing art exhibitions and tourist information, Straubing Tower, Cham Beer Gate, SPUR Museum. In the Stadellohe district, the cycle information pavilion has overview boards, information on places to stop for refreshments, route information in kilometers for all continuing cycle paths. There are also lockable bike boxes here. The route leads to Prienzing via Cham Nunsting. The wooden chapel with the boards of the dead is well worth a visit here. Waffenbrunn offers a number of sights along the main road: Neustifter fountain, Schrazllöcher, stone statue of St. Nepomuk, picturesque castle complex (privately owned), old Waldlerhaus. Rhanwalting is also home to a remarkable Waldlerhaus. Those who love beautiful old villages will want to stop off in Pemfling. Historic buildings are clustered around the baroque parish church of St. Andreas. We also come across old Waldler houses in Kager. Chapels line our route in Löwendorf, Bernried and Oberdeschenried. Via Pemfling-Haid near Pitzling and Loibling, the route follows the River Regen back to Cham. A visit to the leisure pool is refreshing.
