Zum Kolmstein

The starting point for the hike is the center of Haibühl. Follow Engelshütter Straße for about 400 m to the end of the village in the direction of Arrach and turn right towards Ottenzell. In the center of Ottenzell, the path continues to the right into Birkenstraße. From here, the trail climbs steadily uphill to the Kolmstein with its Stations of the Cross. Worth seeing here is the "Kolmsteiner Kircherl" pilgrimage chapel with the former plague cemetery. From here, follow the Ar8 trail marker to the left towards Höllkreuz. The descent to Stadlern in Ottenzell begins immediately afterwards, turning left again. From here you reach the starting point in the center of Haibühl on the same route. You can stop for refreshments at Gasthof Kolmsteiner Hof or Gasthof Meindl in Haibühl.
