Description by the author

Initially a leisurely hike from Regensburg along the Danube towards Wörth. From there, an easy ascent via the Hornauer Eck (400 m) and Büscherl (740 m) foothills and the Pilgramsberg pilgrimage site (613 m) to Stallwang (403 m). After a steeper ascent to the Gallner (697 m), you reach the legendary quartz rocks of the Pfahl near Moosbach through romantic forests and small valleys. From here, the trail leads via Blaibacher See and the pilgrimage church of Weißenregen to Bad Kötzting. After an easier section in the Weißer Regen valley, the most challenging section takes you over the ridge of the Hohenbogen (1079 m) to the famous pilgrimage site of Neukirchen bei Hl. Blut. The route continues leisurely over gentle ridges in the direction of Eschlkam to the Czech border.
