Köpfelsbergweg

From the starting point in Sattelpeilnstein, to the south of the castle, we walk downhill through the village until we reach Fischkalterstraße. Here we are accompanied by the supra-local hiking trails called Main-Donau-Weg and Südliche Hauptwanderlinie. We turn left into the road and immediately bear right. After approx. 160 m, we must not overlook the markings to the right, which lead us into the forest. At some point we have to cross a clearing area with new planting. Please only stay on the path here so as not to damage the planting. We now reach an asphalt road through the village of Sitzenberg, which we follow downhill to the right. We reach Peilnsteiner Straße via the gravel path "Am Weissenstein". Immediately after 50 meters we keep left again. The two supra-local hiking trails, the long-distance hiking trail and the Main-Danube trail, leave our local hiking trail here. The following, idyllic gravel road towards Köpfelsberg will eventually turn into forest paths. However, following the markings, we soon reach a comfortable gravel path again in the direction of Boden. From here, we are on an asphalt road. It's not long before we reach the sports field. Heading south, we return to the starting point.
