Goldsteig S 14 Haunkenzell – Konzell

After leaving Haunkenzell, idyllic forest paths and open meadows lead to Stubenhof, the eastern edge of Stallwang. Then a sign soon points the way to the summit of the Gallner: please manage your strength well in this section, as the ascent is a little long! After about two thirds of the way there is a farm with a church. There is still some way to go to the summit cross, but it's worth the effort: from the Gallner summit, you can enjoy a panoramic view as far as the Danube plain and deep into the Bavarian Forest. The route then leads along meadow paths to the outskirts of Forsting and on to Denkzell, the golden village: the village was awarded the gold medal twice in both the state and national "Our village should be more beautiful" competitions. A village pond, old renovated farms, haystacks and granaries bear witness to the beauty of the ensemble. Finally, forest and meadow paths lead the hiker to Konzell.
