Goldsteig S 19 Lalling – Zenting

The hiker leaves Lalling in the direction of Panhölling, where a highlight awaits: the fruit nature trail. At the end of the nature trail, you enter the forest, where the first steep section of the ascent to the Brotjacklriegel awaits very soon. Padling and the "gold mining village" of Hunding are on the route. Hunding was once settled in order to mine ore here - an information board next to the tunnel entrance provides information about this. From here to Langfurth, a strenuous stretch awaits you - so pace yourself well! After a refreshment stop in Langfurth, the hiker then tackles the last section of the ascent to the summit of the Brotjacklriegel - whose name was probably derived from the local "broada Jagariegel", i.e. broad hunter's bar. The Brotjacklriegel - with its Bavarian Broadcasting transmitter, observation tower and rest areas - is another highlight: wonderful forest paths, beautiful views, open meadows, wood carvings and dreamlike atmospheres accompany the hiker. On the descent via the so-called steep path on the eastern mountain slope, you first pass the mountain village of Daxstein, past Fradlberg and Lina and finally reach Zenting, the last village in the Sonnenwald.
