Bayerisch-Böhmische Rundtour

From Panoramapark/Kurpark in the direction of the town center, turn into the main road (Engelshütter Straße) and follow it to the left until Engelshütt. Stay on the road in the direction of Neukirchen b. Hl. Blut. At Absetz/Tanneneck turn right towards Rittsteig/Grenze. 500m after Neurittsteig (short descent with 2 hairpin bends) follow the side road to Helmhöfe (do not turn off to Angelmühle!). Follow the forest path downhill to the border crossing for hikers and cyclists after approx. 100m. Around 400m further on, you come to an asphalt road on which you continue on the right-hand side. The road is marked with black markings (no. 1) along a length of approx. 15km to the Black Lake. The path (3.7km) leads past the lake shore and is relatively flat to the Špičák saddle. There, turn right onto the main road (190) and follow it through the village of Špičák (Spitzberg) to Železná Ruda. Follow the signs to Bayerisch Eisenstein or the border on the E53 or 27 through Alžbětín to the border crossing. Then turn sharp right (towards Brennes) and tackle the last major ascent of approx. 7 km along the state road, or follow the existing, signposted (cycle) path network towards Arber/Brennes. At the Brennessattel, turn into the forest road to Mooshütte. From here you are on the marked Lamer Winkel-Arber cycle path, back via Mooshütte, Sommerau, Schwarzenbach, Neuschrenkenthal and Thürnstein to Lam.
