Schneeschuhtour Althütter Runde, DSV-zertifiziert

The Althütte circuit starts at the DSV Nordic-Aktiv-Zentrum at the Althütte parking lot. After finding out about the large winter sports area from the information board, we set off on an exciting snowshoe tour. We walk past the information building along the cross-country ski trails (please be considerate of passing cross-country skiers) to the edge of the forest. There we walk about 500 meters along a small snow-covered path to the Unterhütte ski lift, where you have a fantastic view of the highest mountain in the Czech Republic, Cerchov. We continue uphill and downhill for approx. 1 km towards Herzogau, a beautiful little mountain village near Waldmünchen. Shortly before the village, we take a small path on the left uphill and continue along the foot of the Klammerfelsen over idyllic, untouched and snow-covered paths mainly downhill to the starting point "DSV Nordic-Aktiv-Zentrum". In the Bergstüberl Althütte opposite, you can round off this varied snowshoe tour with a hearty snack.
