Rund um Lam

Walk downhill through the Panoramapark/Kurpark to the Ginglmühle. As soon as the hiking trail joins a road, turn right past the Ginglmühle farm to the traffic circle. Continue straight on towards Frahels, but immediately afterwards turn right onto Alte Frahelser Straße, past a well-restored group of death boards. The Alte Frahelser Straße joins the Frahelser Straße. This winds its way uphill through the village, past the village chapel and continues as a country road with little traffic to Engelshütt. Here, the glassmaker's memorial commemorates the location of one of the first glassworks in the Bavarian Forest. The little church of St. Erasmus is also worth a visit. At the village green, in front of the church, follow the road that turns off between the two farms in the direction of Schmelz (signposted La4 and Gläserner Steig with the glassblower symbol). After a short ascent in Vorderschmelz, follow the La4 signs to the tree camp on the right. This offers one of the most attractive views of the climatic health resort. The last section back to the village runs alongside the road on the sidewalk.
