Start at the parking lot in Höllhöhe. We walk along the small road directly through the buildings of the Sport- und Wellnesshotel Waldschlößl to the pass road. We cross this and continue to a farm. Here we strap on our snowshoes and climb up to the Sautrifft, an open area in the middle of the forest. The path from Waldschlößl to Sautrifft is marked Nk5. From Sautrifft, we keep to the left and climb up the path marked Nk3 to Berggasthaus Schönblick, which is quite steep in places.
