Bankerlweg

The Hohenwarth bench trail is a joint project of the "Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park" and the municipality of Hohenwarth. 9 uniquely designed benches, carpentered by Florian Berlinger, invite you to linger and read. The starting point of the approx. 3.8 kilometer long circular trail is the tourist information office in Hohenwarth and leads through a scenic area of Hohenwarth. A small sign with a number and QR code is attached to each bench. Stories from Hohenwarth and the Bavarian Forest, which are assigned to each individual bench, can be read in this brochure or accessed via QR code on a smartphone. At the fire station, we cross the main road and stay on Hudlacher Straße. After about 500 meters, we leave Hudlacher Straße and turn right into Haselmühlstraße. We leave this again after about 150 meters by continuing straight ahead into Bürgermeister-Mühlbauer-Weg. Now we stay on the signposted hiking trail. We cross a small stream and follow the markings until we reach the asphalt road in the Blumenau district and Blumenauer Straße. After about 500 meters we meet the Kötztinger Straße, which we cross. Now we follow the road to the right and soon arrive at our starting point in Hohenwarth.
