From the tourist information office, walk along Marktstraße to the Neumeyer shoe store. There we turn right into Morethgasse and walk past several viewing benches (view of the Hohenbogen) and a plague memorial cross up to the road in Vorderbuchberg. (Alternative: path between the school and the monastery wall to the soccer pitch. After the narrow path on the right past the sports field, we come to the Nk1/Nk7, which leads uphill to Vorderbuchberg on the left). In Vorderbuchberg, we turn right and follow the road to the Anger settlement (hiking sign, seating area); there we can enjoy a wide panoramic view. While the Nk1 hiking trail branches off to the left, we follow the Nk7 markings to the half-right, crossing a tarred road on a field path to a small wood (beautiful view of the pilgrimage church and Hohenbogen). Here we turn right and follow a dirt road to a farm and walk along the tarred road through a wooded area to the fork in the road. After the fork (hydrant), we turn right onto a field path (view of the Kaitersberg massif in the background with smoke pipes), which leads us back to the forest. After walking through the forest, we then turn right to the village of Atzlern, come to the main road, follow it to the right to the end of the village and follow the Nk7/Nk12 markings to the left to Neukirchen b.Hl.Blut.
