Bärenhöhlenweg

From the starting point at the village square in Grafenkirchen, we head south along Jakobstraße. We cross the road, then turn right in front of the fire station and then immediately keep left. We then follow the asphalt road slightly uphill towards Zimmerholz. We reach a comfortable forest path on the right and walk along it until we reach a forest road. Continue to the right. Soon there is an opportunity to visit the Bärenhöhle, a natural monument, on the left-hand side via a cul-de-sac. After a few more meters on the forest road, you reach a natural forest path on the left, which points to the viewpoint near the bear cave. Following the markings, you will reach this spot with a shelter after a few meters. On a clear day, the view extends over the Regental valley and even as far as the Arber. Back on the forest road, the hiking sign points the hiker to a forest path that is easy to follow. We return to the starting point in Grafenkirchen (refreshments available; opening times Tue, Fri, Sun) via the tarmac road.
