We start our hike at the overview board in the parking lot at the entrance to Rettenbach (coming from the main road). We walk a little way through the village in the direction of Ruderszell along the main road. At Ruderzell we turn right through the forest and soon reach the Tannerl Chapel. From there we walk on towards the reservoir and then back to Rettenbach. Places of interest: St. Laurentius parish church, stone arch bridge over the Höllbach, Tannerl chapel, Rettenbach reservoir
