Mit Schneeschuhen auf den Hohenbogen

We start at the parking lot at the valley station of the Hohenbogenbahn cable car. Here we strap on our snowshoes and walk right next to the buildings along the forest road steadily uphill to the Forstdiensthütte. The Forstdiensthütte is staffed and invites you to stop for a bite to eat. Strengthened, we take the same route back to the valley station of the Hohenbogenbahn cable car - or we continue on the Nk3 in the direction of the Berghaus. Now the path is more challenging and requires concentration to conquer the mountain ridge up to the mountain station of the Hohenbogenbahn. The most beautiful mountain lodge in the Bavarian Forest awaits its guests here. The Berghaus is open as long as the double chairlift is running. From here, we recommend taking the cable car back to the parking lot. Snowshoe hikers are not allowed on the ski slope and the descent is quite steep if you choose the edge of the forest. The walking time to the forest service hut is approx. 2 ¼ hours. Allow approx. 4 hours for the entire route to the Berghaus.
