Goldsteig N 02 Friedenfels – Falkenberg

Past the golden-blue carp - a 2.20 m long and 1.20 m high carp sculpture which, together with many "conspecifics", is one of the ambassadors of the district of Tirschenreuth - the path leads past meadows and fields to the forest cemetery (memorial stones of the Barons of Nothafft, who ruled Weißenstein for over 550 years). The open landscape is soon replaced by forest again and the hiker comes across the Haferdeckfelsen rock and the Haferdeckmühle mill by the small pond. Voitenthan is followed by the village of Muckenthal with its inn. Immediately after this is the area of ponds, pools and lakes, through which the trail leads in a gentle zig-zag course. After the level crossing (to open the barriers, please sign in and out with the attendant at the registration post), a trim and fish trail takes hikers to the beautifully situated Perlsee lake, and a small jungle trail continues to the Neuweiher pond. Only the Adamsteiche ponds now lie between the hiker and the village of Seidlersreuth, from where a meadow path leads to Falkenberg.
