Winterwanderweg Althütte, DSV-zertifiziert

A brief overview of all snowshoe tours and winter hiking trails can be found on the overview board at the Althütte parking lot in front of the function building. The short 1.3 km route on the Althütte meadow is ideal, especially if you have had some refreshments in the Bergstadl Althütte or want to stretch your legs after a long drive. We walk past the service building and turn right onto the marked winter hiking trail (please do not use the skating trail). It goes slightly downhill towards the edge of the forest and on a beautiful rolled path always along the edge of the forest slightly uphill and again comfortably downhill over the entire meadow back to the parking lot Althütte. Together with the towns of Furth im Wald and Waldmünchen and the Czech region of Domažlicko, the Safety in Skiing Foundation (SIS) and the German Ski Association (DSV) have been working to develop the quality of the cross-country ski trail network in the Upper Bavarian Forest/Bohemian Forest in recent years. The trails have been certified as a cross-border DSV nordic active center according to international criteria, signposted with a uniform system and equipped with information boards
