The tour begins in Grafenwiesen through the attractively landscaped spa gardens towards Rimbach. Every year in July, the Lichtenegg Castle Festival takes place here on the castle ruins. The tour leads via Lichteneck up to the forestry service hut. After a short rest, the route continues through the idyllic forest landscape to the Ahornriegel and on to the Eckstein, the highest vantage point on the Hohenbogen at 1073 meters. A stop at the Berghaus, one of the most beautiful mountain huts in the Bavarian Forest, will revive your spirits. After a short detour to the Burgstall with its magnificent views of Bohemia, the trail leads back to Grafenwiesen.
