Lehrpfad am Ziegelberg

The nature trail on the Ziegelberg is a short circular walk suitable for the whole family. Due to its central but quiet location, the short circular trail is also ideal for stretching your feet and taking a short break in nature. Starting from the village square in the center of the village, follow Steinstraße, which turns into Chamer Straße. 100 m before the village sign, at the end of Chamer Straße, you will find the actual starting point of the approx. 600 m long circular trail on the left at the Hirtreiter restaurant/bowling alley parking lot. The playground on the Ziegelberg is right at the start of the circular route on the left-hand side. Following the path straight ahead, after approx. 300 m you have the opportunity to look through the trees on the right-hand side of the path to the road leading towards Kolmberg. There you will find the first small rest area in the form of a bench. After another 200 m, you will reach a nature information board with interesting information about local snakes. Further along the route, you will see the former granite quarry on your left, where you will also find a nature education board with facts about the quarry. There are several opportunities for a short break in the form of benches along the entire route. At the end, the circular trail leads past the playground again and ends back at the parking lot of the Hirtreiter inn. From there, you can return to the village center.
