Stolzeneck-Tour

The highlight of the tour is the impressive ruins of Stolzeneck Castle, which leaves nothing to be desired for castle lovers.

The "Stolzeneck Tour" is a scenically beautiful hike, the first half of which leads along flat, barrier-free paths directly along the Neckar. The way back is much more difficult and leads through the steep slopes of the Auberg.
Start at the "Neckarbrücke" nature park hiking board. Follow the circular route marking "yellow 3" via the the "Neckartal-Radweg" upstream through Rockenau until you reach the site of the Rockenau barrage. After approx. 500 m, leave the the marked path and follow the signpost to "Stolzeneck 1.1 km" steeply uphill. Signposts with the signs lead you directly to Stolzeneck Castle. 28 After visiting the castle (where you can rest), follow the "yellow R" markings steeply uphill and then northwards until you reach the "red triangle" markings above Neckarwimmersbach, which will lead you downhill back to the starting point.
