Sights worth seeing on the tour are: the Beerfelden townscape, the Mümling spring in the Zwölf-Röhren-Brunnen fountain and the three-sleeping gallows just outside the town.
The main part of the hiking route runs through dense forest on the Hirschhorner Höhe, which stretches southwards between the Finkenbach and Gammelsbach valleys at an altitude of around 470 meters.About two kilometers before Beerfelden, you can take a detour to Leonhardshof with the ruins of a former pilgrimage chapel. At the remains of this chapel, the water from a fountain runs into two troughs, one of which is the upper part of a late medieval wayside shrine. This water was once revered as having healing powers, which presumably led to the construction of the wayside shrine. On the way, the Katzenbuckel comes into view, which at 626 m above sea level is the highest elevation in the Odenwald. This hike is part of the Odenwaldklub's 2009 annual trail "From the Odenwald Wine Island to the Little Odenwald".
