From Mannheim to Stuttgart, from Heidelberg to Pforzheim or from Karlsruhe to Heilbronn - these are the three new bikepacking tours that you can explore by gravel bike in the land of 1000 hills.

With one overnight stay each in the middle of the Kraichgau-Stromberg region, you cycle along castles, through the Stromberg-Heuchelberg Nature Park, across sunny vineyards and into the heart of small half-timbered villages. Bathing lakes and inns provide refreshing stops along the way.The UNESCO World Heritage Maulbronn Monastery is one of the highlights along the Heidelberg-Pforzheim and Karlsruhe-Heilbronn routes. Castles such as Eichtersheim moated castle and small half-timbered gems such as Bretten also await you between scenic gravel paths and shady forest passages. The three overnighter tours are between 130 and 170 kilometers long and have 1,500 to 2,000 meters of altitude to offer. A mix of gravel paths, cycle paths and quiet side roads connect the major towns on the edge of the Kraichgau-Stromberg region. This makes it easy for you to arrive and depart by public transport. The two stages are therefore perfect for a gravel weekend in the saddle.
