Schnalz-Panoramaweg Böbing

From Leithen, the route heads north with plenty of panoramic views. However, the path soon disappears into the forest and from now on the route is characterized by partly rooty forest paths. These initially lead along the wooded ridge of the Schnalz without any great incline and later descend steeply down to the Ammer. The gravel banks around the Kalkofensteg are ideal for a rest. From here, follow the familiar path back to the turn-off to the Schnalz summit. Now there are countless steep steps to climb until you reach the flat plateau of the Schnalz. The detour to the Schnalz summit (901 m) is worthwhile and is also signposted (no. 89, blue). With a direct view of the Alpine chain, you finally return to Leithen via Holzleithen.

Author's tip:

In summer, the gravel banks on the Ammer are ideal for swimming and sunbathing. It's also worth making a detour to the Schnalz summit with its panoramic views.

Safety information:

After prolonged rainfall, the path down to the Ammer is often soft and sometimes very slippery.
