Fischbachtal und Seibelsdorf (KC 5)*

Start & finish: Rafting museum Unterrodach, Kirchplatz 8, 96364 Marktrodach

Route: Unterrodach, Höfles, Ruppen, Vogtendorf, Fischbach, Seibelsdorf, Großvichtach, Kleinvichtach, Unterrodach (* )

Route description: From the rafting museum in Unterrodach, you first cycle through the district of Unterrodach and then on asphalt field paths in the direction of Kronach to Höfles, then on to Ruppen and then take a sharp left to Vogtendorf, the birthplace of Johann Kaspar Zeuß (philologist and founder of Celtic studies). From there, follow the cycle path along the stream to Fischbach. At the end of Fischbach, turn left. Then the steep ascent begins on the municipal road towards Seibelsdorf. Once you reach the top of the "Holzleiten", this effort is rewarded with a sweeping view over the Franconian Forest and the Radspitze on the opposite side. A rapid descent then leads to Seibelsdorf. In the center of the village, turn left onto the cycle path that leads via Waldbuch, Großvichtach and Kleinvichtach to Marktrodach. There you cross the B 173 and shortly afterwards arrive back at the starting point, the rafting museum in Unterrodach.
