Durch die Nördliche »Fränkische«

From the town hall, we head towards the market square. After the Heckel bakery, cross the bridge and turn right through the suburb. After approx. 100 m, turn left into Zeubacher Str. to Zeubach and continue on the tarred road to Neusig. At the entrance to the village, turn left after the inn and follow the road through the state forest to the Löhlitz-Wohnsgehaig crossroads. Here we turn right and continue uphill towards Wohnsgehaig.

After the village, we continue on the tarred road (be sure to climb the "NaturKunstRaum Neubürg" 586 m, LandArt exhibition, magnificent view over Franconian Switzerland and into the Bayreuth region with the Fichtelgebirge mountains). Now we head downhill past the villages of Plösen and Hardt. Turn left at the next crossroads and cycle through Frankenhaag to the St. Rupert chapel. Turn left here towards Obernsees (baroque cultural garden and thermal baths) past Truppach and Mengersdorf to Plankenfels.

Below Plankenfels, opposite the Eichenmühle mill, turn left into the Wiesenttal valley to Nankendorf. In Nankendorf, you can marvel at the baroque parish church and old mill with water council. Cycle back to Waischenfeld on the cycle path from Nankendorf.
