Sonnenbichl-Weg

The starting point of the loop is at the junction of the village road and the district road on the eastern outskirts of Schönberg. After a short stretch on the road, the path branches off at the small, already visible chapel and now leads eastwards across open meadows and fields with panoramic views. After crossing the Stegschachengraben, however, the moderately steep ascent soon begins past the Sonnenbichlhöfe farms in the direction of Geigersau. In the meantime, only faint tracks lead through the forest and across the meadow. But even before you reach Geigersau, you are back on well-maintained forest paths. At Dreiseenblick, the first view opens up to the north, before you head downhill - once again accompanied by a magnificent Alpine panorama. Hikers finally return to Schönberg through Breitfilz.

Author's tip: Be sure to take the short detour to Dreiseenblick!
