Description by the author

The hike starts at the Kissingerstraße parking lot (north of the Welfenmünster). You walk along Schongauer Straße and turn left after the pizzeria into Riesener Straße. You walk along the tarred road to Maderbichl and continue via Brandach to Jagdberg. From there, the trail descends steeply past the Illach power station to the "Illach" inn and on to the Oberer Lechsee lake. Continue via Urspring and the Egg viewpoint back to Steingaden.
