Winterwanderung - Stadt- und Lechgeschichten

After following the idyllic riverside path along the Lech to Lechstaustufe 7, we turn into the Staffelau forest and reach the Höhenweg at the Schongau clinic via the Berlachberg and past the Trachtenheim. The old town rises up on the Lechumlaufberg and the magnificent Alpine backdrop can be seen behind it. This varied circular walk continues past the modern Transfiguration of Christ parish church through the Frauentor gate into the historic town center.

Author's tip: In Schongau, the gateway to the Pfaffenwinkel, you can take exciting tours through the old town. Knowledgeable city guides are happy to accompany guests on their discovery tour. Registration is recommended.
