Schnalz-Panoramaweg Peiting

Initially flat, after a short walk it descends steeply on partly rooty paths and countless steps down to the Ammer. Here you can rest comfortably on the wide gravel banks around the Kalkofensteg. From the Kalkofensteg, the trail climbs steeply uphill to the turn-off to the Schnalz summit. The trail soon leads out of the forest onto a panoramic route to Holzleithen. The route to Leithen and back into the forest is at least as panoramic. On the already familiar path, you reach the Kalkofensteg bridge over the Ammer again. On the other side of the bridge, the Ammerlauf nature trail begins, leading in a loop through the forest north of the Ammer. Follow this in a clockwise direction and return to your starting point. Follow the signposts 101.

Author's tip: The gravel banks on the Ammer are ideal for swimming and sunbathing in summer. A detour to the Schnalz summit is also worthwhile!

Safety advice: After prolonged rainfall, the path down to the Ammer is often muddy and sometimes very slippery.
