Etappe 6, Ostschleife, Heilige Landschaft Pfaffenwinkel - Von Iffeldorf nach Huglfing

Author's tip: The farmer's café in Tauting is well worth a rest!

Way description: We start the sixth stage in Iffeldorf heading northwest and first pass through the Osterseen nature reserve. At the Lauterbach private clinic, we turn west and cross the Lauterbach forest. The enchanted Pollingsried chapel is hidden in the forest here. We pass wide wooded areas until we change direction again towards the south. A little way off the path, an idyllic rest area near Hohenkasten invites us to pause for a moment. Finally, we cross the WM1. We have now reached the moor and drumlin landscape bird sanctuary between Hohenkasten and Antdorf. This route takes us past Egenried to the village of Untersöchering, where we leave the forest areas of this stage behind us and continue our route to Tauting on wide open spaces. In Tauting, you can already see the church of St. Benedikt from afar. At the Winkelwiesen meadows, we turn right and follow the railroad tracks to the north, where we reach Huglfing. We have reached our stage destination at the parish church of St. Magnus. Behind the church, there is an inviting rest area right next to the stream.
