Wanderung zur schönen Aussicht

We follow the hiking symbol with the red dot initially uphill via the fairground and then turn left onto a forest path. After approx. 800 m, we turn left and reach the village of Serlbach after about 30 minutes. We pass a chapel (built in 1948) and the "Gasthaus zu den Linden". From Serlbach to the Retterner Kanzel we follow the symbol with the red dot. At the edge of the forest, there are always wonderful views of the landscape. As a detour, a steep climb (be careful when wet!) leads up to the Retterner Kanzel, the highest point of the hike. You will be rewarded with a magnificent view of the town of Forchheim, the St. Nikolaus Vexierkapelle chapel in Reifenberg and the striking Walberla table mountain. From the Retterner Kanzel, the highest point of the hike, we now descend again and return to the junction. Here we follow the symbol with the red horizontal line to the left to Weilersbach. There are several places to stop for refreshments in Weilersbach. The pilgrimage church of St. Anna is well worth a visit. Incidentally, the people of Forchheim used to hike there hundreds of years ago - always on July 26, the name day of St. Anne. On the way back, they would stop for refreshments in the shady Kellerwald forest. This is one of the reasons why St. Anne's Day was founded. From the church of St. Anna to the Forchheimer Kellerwald, follow the yellow vertical line.
