Erdfunkstellen-Wanderweg

This somewhat unusual walk starts at the train station in Raisting. From here, it goes past the cemetery through the village to the parish church of St. Remigius. Now the route leads south out of the village to the site of the earth station, accompanied by a fantastic view of the Alps. Some of the huge parabolic antennas, whose mirrors have diameters of up to 32 meters, are passed directly and can therefore be viewed at close range. The turning point is the former pilgrimage chapel of St. Johann. From here, the route heads north back to the village - past further antennas and the industrial monument Radom Raisting, which can be recognized from afar as a large white sphere.

Extensive information boards explain the significance of the radome. The radome can also be visited from the inside on certain dates in summer. Information on this can be found here.
